Pagi tadi, tatkala enjin dimulakan, meter perbatuan menunjukkan angka 49,993. A ha! 50,000 bakal menjelma tatkala saya sedang memandu.

Awal2 dulu, saya selalu kata (or nyanyi), takpe, HIJRAH ITU PEEENGORBANANNNN... HIJRAH ITU PERRRJUANGANNNNN... tapi dah 3 kali ni... tak larat nak nyanyi dah.

Last week alone 3 kali saya gi karaoke gak. Hahahhahahah

Sesungguhnya saya tak faham motif entri ini.

sepi itu api. sepi itu rindu. jangan biarkan sepi itu membakar aku

If you Bing “hiccups” you’ll find lots of supposed cures for this annoying, but usually fast-passing condition—one site lists 250 of them! You might find the story of a man in Iowa who had the hiccups for 60 years and couldn't shake them. One thing you won’t find, though, is a good explanation for why we hiccup. The truth is, after pondering the question for thousands of years, no one really knows. (Hippocrates, the Greek physician who lived in the fourth century B.C., thought liver inflammation was to blame. It’s not. But we still don’t know what is.)

Hiccupping is a more complex reflex than it might seem: A sudden contraction or spasm of the diaphragm and the muscles between the ribs makes you inhale quickly and involuntarily. It ends with “glottic closure”—the space in the throat near the vocal cords snaps shut, producing the typical hiccup sound. The technical term for hiccups—singultus—comes from a Latin word (singult) that means catching your breath while crying, which seems like a pretty good description of the sound of hiccupping.

Making hiccups go away
In most cases, hiccups seem to serve no purpose and go away on their own, usually after 30 or more hiccups. Any of the following may cause a short bout of hiccups:
  • An overly full stomach (due to too much food, too much alcohol or too much air in the stomach)
  • Sudden changes in temperature—either outside your body or internally
  • Smoking cigarettes
  • Excitement, stress or other heightened emotions
Of the many, many purported ways to get rid of hiccups, here are a few that you can do at home, and that are logical, considering the muscles and tissues involved in hiccuping:
  • Stimulating the nasopharynx, or the upper most region of the throat, by pulling on your tongue; swallowing granulated sugar; gargling with water; sipping ice water; drinking from the far side of a glass; or biting on a lemon.
  • Stimulating the skin that covers the spinal nerves near the neck by tapping or rubbing the back of the neck.
  • Stimulating the pharynx, or back of the throat, by gently poking it with a long cotton swab.
  • Stimulating the uvula, the cone-like tissue that hangs from the very back of the top of your mouth, again by touching it with a cotton swab.
  • Interrupting your normal respiratory cycle by holding your breath, breathing into a paper bag (which increases the amount of carbon dioxide you inhale), gasping in fright, or pulling your knees up to chest and leaning forward.
  • Distracting your mind from the fact that you’re hiccuping.

As for me... lying down always works. Ive tried everything else; drink water, touch the back of your ears, hold your breath.... but to no avail.

What does it take to make something happen? Once our vision is clear it is easier to hit our mark. Sometimes we need to go through a process that is similar to changing the focus on a camera. When this happens our outlook may appear blurry and unclear. This is because we are refining or creating a new picture. During this stage we need to shift our position and move where there is more light and clarity.

Being specific helps us manifest our vision. Many times we try to manifest an idea without clarifying all the specific details of our goal. An idea is usually too general. It is the beginning of our manifestation. This is similar to wanting to take a photograph of a tree. We need to find the right tree. What does it look like? Where is it? Is it big or small? Is it old or new? Each question helps us refine our images so that we can manifest our vision of the tree.

Setting limits is also a necessary component of manifestation. Most of us like to dream big which can be wonderful but once we start to build a dream, we need to apply limits to help us ground our idea into reality. For example, if we are creating a business we need to spend a certain amount of time working. That means that we do not have time to do other things. If we want to become an athlete we need to train and eat well. Limits tends to sound like a downer but in actuality they are the walls to the house we are building.

Sometimes the process of manifesting our vision takes more time than we originally thought. This is because physical reality is denser than a thought or an idea. The vibration is much slower. So we need to apply continual energy. We must practice endurance and purposefulness. We also need to refresh our resolve and feed our faith.

There is usually a period of darkness or hopelessness that we meet on our journey of creation. If this should happen, bless it. It usually means that our vision is close to manifestation. This stage reminds us of who we are and what we are really doing. Be sure that you are holding hands with the universe. It is this partnership that helps guide our way.
